The battle for beds
Eastern Virginia Health Systems Agency argues against a proposal to build a new hospital in Williamsburg.

WILLIAMSBURG -- A state-funded advisory group to the Virginia Department of Health recommended against building the 43-bed Doctors Hospital in Williamsburg. The Eastern Virginia Health Systems Agency, Inc. argued that many of the existing beds in the area remain unoccupied throughout the year.
