Riverside School of Health Careers RN program

U.S.A. Virginia

Hello everyone!

I am looking for current, past, and even prospective students for Riverside's RN program. I will be applying for the September 2013 professional nursing program. For current or past students, what was your GPA and teas score? Also how was the program, instructors, clinicals? I did attend the last open house in December and I was hoping that a student or recent grad would be there to talk about their experience. I love how the instructors seem to be really supportive and the small campus also appealed to me. To other prospective students what start date are you applying to and do you have any other nursing/healthcare experience? Any advice or other information on the program is greatly appreciated!

Ok thanks....I appreciate your responses to my many questions. It looks like I will have to go ahead and purchase that one "new" it's a pricey one! The other three weren't too bad though!

I hope in caught you before you purchase that med surge book. I bought the nursing lab access code and it is not necessary. You have access to the books website for free, just register (for free) ? felt like I got bamboozled, lol. This was my first time ordering from Rittenhouse but I'm going back to using my book price comparison sites ( such as bigwords.com) or just use Amazon for everything! :-)

So, would you say its okay to purchase a used book with the access code. I know you can pay for the access online later, it's like $120 though. I've never heard of registering a book...but if it'll save me money, that's a def plus!

Yes ma'am, you'll be perfectly fine. One of my classmates has a used book, I helped her register for Pearson's website and she has the same access (w/o an access code) that I have (w/ access code).

Wow, that is crazy ! But, great news for my pocket none the less...thanks for the heads up girl!

I didn't have my math completed, so i have to wait to apply until January. Meanwhile I will apply at TCC.

Hey does anyone know the code for the first term RN program to order books?

126946 for Rittenhouse level 1

Ahh thank you!! Would you happen to know if we can buy any of the books used or do they all have to be new because of access codes and things?

You can buy used. I don't recall needing any access codes for these book. The fundamentals books is a two volume set. Which is a package deal through Rittenhouse. Those also come with 3 set DVD you can watch for lab skills. Most used books don't include those.

Great, thanks for your help!

Is riverside particular on what stethoscope you buy (color, brand) etc? Which one do you all recommend?
