    I am a brand new graduate and passed my boards a few weeks back. I have been working as an emergency department extern and I am working as a staff nurse in the ER at the hospital I did my externship at. I want to work a second job in the Hampton roads but have no clue what a new grad RN can expect in the area. Thanks for any replies.

    About 18.25/hr to start on dayshift, pretty low.

    Depends on the hospital. My friend got offered 19 and I got 20.25 as new grads. Sentara has big differentials for night and evening shifts, I know. I've heard Portsmouth Naval Hospital pays more too.
