Hi! My name is Ashley I am new to the group. I am a prospective RN student and I am trying to weigh my options. MCI has the benefit of being a fast paced course which as a military wife can really benefit me while my hubby is on shore duty. My only concern is well..Is it really possible to get a quality education in that amount of time? Has anyone attended the VA beach location? Did you feel prepared and comfortable with your training when you got out? Is it a struggle to pay back this very pricey tution (Not to be too intrusive!) I also don't have ANY credit will I have trouble getting student loans? I really like what the Riverside and Sentara Schools have to offer but, Not only is it 3 years for the evening classes you have to have your 10 college credits previous to that. Please help! Anything would be great! I am driving my friends, family and most of all hubby by asking what do you think I should do? LOL Thanks in advance :D

I went for an interview @ MCI and I found that they were extremely high!! Although sumtims we tend to want 2 rush things I don't think that their program is a good one (having been to a technical before). Because: 1)2costly... 2) no matter wat they tell u their credits wont transfer... 3) they r sumtimes concerned more with money dat u become a #... 4) tuition is $7800 per semester and there are five semesters...

:banghead:

**Trust me I have experienced my share schools and tuition rates!!**

Just to reconfirm what the PP said, their credits do not transfer. I have a friend ho started at MCI then transfered to a CC. She basically had to start from scratch.

be very careful with MCI. weigh all your prospects before you sign up.... i wish i had waited and gone to a CC instead.

MCI's program like many technical schools credits do not "transfer" unless you graduate with a degree. Some schools do make exceptions. I am in the RN program and have confirmed with ODU, NSU, Hampton that they DO accept the ADN degree you receive from MCI for RN. It is a very tough school and not everyone will make it through the classes. Our class is lucky right now, all 25 of us are still together and this is our 5th mod and have not lost anyone yet. Good luck to each of you. You will find the school that works for you.
