by Princess74 Jul 22, '05Can someone, PLEASE tell me what nurses (RN's) make in the Virginia Beach/Hampton Roads area. I've been to salary.com but I do not think it is anywhere near right. I had a nurse tell me I will only start out making $12 to $13 dollars an hour.
I don't think that can be right, but then again I wouldn't totally doubt it because the pay in this area for everything else is very low. I'm freaking out. I can't live on that, I make almost that much now working retail. Someone please help me out here. How much money do you make per hour.

I know this is kinda late but Yicksssssss
12 and 13 dollars an hour thats why I left Virginia 18 dollars an hour for RN's whoa!!!! thats awful they should be ashamed of
themselves down in the 757 hampton etc... I was in Richmond it wasn't that low there but still not any where near what I make now thats for sure, I am now a travling nurse I make 38.00 dollars an hour maybe you should try that.
