CNA program

U.S.A. Virginia

Published

Hello all,

I have been looking on the Virginia Nurses Forum for quite a while. I was wondering if any of you could help me please. I am looking for a CNA program in Virginia any where in the Hampton Roads area. I live fairly close to everything and i wouldn't mind the drive from where i am now which is Norfolk, to Va Beach or Newport News. I have been calling all around and many places give me the same answer, no we don't have that program, but we have this or that program. So i would greatly appreciate any advice on how to find out who and where this program is given. If there is someone out there who could point me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate it thanks for all of your time and advice in advance.

thanks jess

No problem!! Glad it was what you were looking for:monkeydance: :monkeydance:

Did you apply for a program? How did you like the experience? Was it what you thought it would be? I have decided to make a change and go for my CNA in Norfolk, VA.

It will cost me $795 but I feel it would be worth it as what I'm doing now is not working for me anymore.

HI Sct0215,

I am currently a CNA. I have to tell you that i didn't go through any Va programs. I went back to Texas where i am orginally from. The price was so much cheaper. Only like 5hundred dollars and some change, anyways. I loved the classroom and the clinical experience. I know i can't give you any advice about any of the Va programs but i love CNA, so getting through the class and the clinical experience is step one. Then finding a job and i always see postings for jobs. My next step is LVN or RN not sure yet which one i want to go into yet. So if you are really interested and looking for a change and a little challange then i would say go right ahead and do it. This thread is so old i totally forgot about it. I am here if you have any questions. I can't believe i still remembered the password. Ok i am rambling so you have a great day and keep in touch let me know how your new journey comes along.
