Hi All! On summer break from my LPN program. I'm still interested in NSU's LPN_BSN night/weekend program. I went on the website and I wanted to clarify what prereqs I needed. How many are there...geeez. I counted alot. What they main ones I need to be accepted into the program. I know I need a college chem, A/P I & II, Eng 111, 112 and Mico. What else? I think I'm going to start in the summer or 2010. Two classes at a semester because I have a day job and I don't see me getting them out of the way unless I do that route.

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

Hey,

I just started in the program. Let me just my first week wasn't that great. You have some teachers that can teach and some that can't. Be ready when I tell that the program is very unorganized. Listern to me when I tell you that you will be doing alot of self learning. But, if that's good with you than go for it. I do regret going to Norfolk State's Nursing Program. But, I will make it though. So, you can do the LPN-ADN Program and it's less pre-reqs. So, hopefully I will be graduating in Summer 2010. Remember, you have to pass the HESI to exit. Out of 60 something people that graduated this year 13 passed. So, everybody else didn't graduate. They have to take and pass it.

Hi Solidergirl!
I've heard alot of things about NSU's nursing program. The good and bad. I can handle the "self teaching" because I figure I would develop friendships in class and we could help each other. Like I do now in my LPN program. What I would like to ask you is how did you manage to get your prereqs done? I'm a fulltime mom, wife, and I also work fulltime. I've talked with several people and I get mixed information. Need advice about how to handle taking these classes. My problem is I want to be an RN within 2 years at the latest 3. But if I only take two classes a semester at TCC I'm afraid I might be looking at 4-5yrs. I know... I know... I'm still young (36) but it just seems like a long time to get to the prize. Can you give me advice or just help me come up with a plan? Anyone?
Unfortuantely, LPN-ADN is only daytime. That is out of the question so I'm keeping my options open to Riverside. It's those darn prereqs. Geezzz.....it's alot! What am I going to do?

Sounds like I just need to buckup and take my classes.

Thanks for lending your ears.

Graduate 2010 I would like to say that easiest way may be to clep out of some of the basic classes like the english 101 and 102, soc, psy, humanities, and history.
