LPN to RN BSN Online Programs

I am a LPN and I am trying to find a good online program that will allow me to go from a LPN to RN, preferably with a Bachelors of Science Degree. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with or could recommend an online program. I have looked at The College Network/Excelsior but was told they are not accredited in VA and I am also a bit skeptical of the program overall. I am looking for one online because I might be moving soon and I definitely want to get my RN but currently cannot start at a campus unless their credits transfer to most colleges. I always search for online schools and have read articles about how there are plenty of opportunities for LPN to achieve their RN online, but I can't seem to find any thing other than the excelsior based programs. So are there any other suggestions or recommendations anyone has of other schools to look at? Thanks so much!

While general education credits (or Anatomy/Physiology, Microbiology, etc) often transfer, it is much more difficult to transfer nursing and clinical classes from one school to another. What may be called 'Nursing I" at College A may not be identical to "Into Nursing" at College B.

I would recommend holding off on taking any of the nursing/clinical classes until you know where you will be.

ISU offers an LPN-BSN with online classes and in-person clinicals. You might want to visit the distance learning forum here: http://allnurses.com/distance-learning-nursing/

I'm an Excelsior grad, so I can tell you that the program is legit. However, it's not the best choice for everyone, and some state BONs do indeed have issues with EC grads because we didn't have clinicals concurrent with theory. (However, if you speak with anyone who has ever taken EC's intense clinical exam, I think most of us will say we'd rather do clinicals! LOL.)
