Hello. Have you started there? Im thinking about attending there in January for LPN but want some feedback from others first. You like it? Hate it?

Thanks.

Well I went to orientation in August hoping to start but didn't have the funds together, so I will be starting in January 2009. Which is ok with me, when I attended the orientation things seem to be in perspective and the instructors are very straight forward, with no nonsense. Hope to see you in January...

Hello:

I'm a former nova resident and hadn't heard of this school so I googled it. The curriculum for the new RN program looks comprehensive - however tuition is pricey! (But I suppose normal for private schools). I'm wondering since this is a new school what types of financial aid are available - other than I am assuming student loans? Also how are the school's clinical relationships? Does anyone have feedback from area employers yet?

Good luck to you who will be starting soon.

To answer the last question. The LPN program has financial aid, but the RN program does not yet. The RN program will have financial aid beginning Summer of 09. It is a little pricey, but yes, that's the norm form private schools, plus the program is 18 months if you have no prerequisites. I started in Sep of this year and will graduate in March of '10.

The school is small so you get a lot of attention and the owner is a NP who teaches the "major classes" and makes sure you learn what will be on the NCLEX. The people that graduated in the 1st (and last) RN class that came to speak at orientation were able to find employment immediately, had several offers and received really good rates at the local hospitals.

The courses are no joke though...really fast paced.

That is good to hear about the RN program, are you working while attending. In January I will be attending the school in the LPN program, and I will have to continue to work. Do you think I will survive.

I'm actually not working right now, thank goodness, but I am 7 mos pregnant which is another challenge in itself. I'm not sure about the LPN schedule, but pretty much everyone in my class works and they seem to be ok. DO you plan on doing RN one day?If so, I would recommend going right to the RN program since it's only 6 mos longer and the schedule is 2-3 days a week depending on where you are in the program. Also, If you bridge to RN you only get credit for 1 or 2 classes so you pretty much start again.

Hey Im trying to go to Global for the LNP program in January as well. My plan is to transfer to GM after Global. Im also planning on going for the morning schedule, what about you? It'd be nice if we could do this together..its always easier to have someone on a similar path as you!

I know this post is a little old, but I am wondering if any of you ended up actually attending Global Health. If you did, how has your experience been? I am considering Global Health's LPN program that begins in 2 weeks. Any information is appreciated. Thanks!
