Has anyone who was accepted into the GMU accelerated nursing program for Fall 2009 received any packets or information about when Orientation is/where classes will be held/etc through the mail? I gave my acceptance reply on June 9th and I still haven't received anything in the mail on the vaccinations/requirements/etc...and I guess you could say that I'm freaking out a little because it's been a month and I don't want to miss anything. Have any of you who've been accepted into the program received anything yet?

Thanks!!

Just got my acceptance letter on Monday--a few days ago. I wonder why they sent the letters out at different times. Those few weeks of waiting were the worst wait ever!

I'm mostly concerned about the TEAS exam and how to pass it. As for the packet of information, I think they'll send it after July 10th since that's the deadline for replies. I guess they're waiting for everyone to respond and mail everything out then. Congratulations to everyone who got in.

For those people that are attending the accelerated program this Fall, are you attending the transfer orientation sessions that they keep e-mailing us about or are you guys waiting for an "accelerated nursing program" orientaion session?

I received a reminder card for transfer student orientation and chose one of the last times available for the 21st of July in the evening. Even though I'll be in the Accelerated BSN program, I don't see why it would hurt and I have a feeling it is still a requirement. It did say in my acceptance letter (from the school, not CHHS) that it was.

Everyone has to attend the transfer orientation, no matter what program you're in. You'll be able to sign up for your first class there, get an email address, etc.

I'm going into the Accelerated BSN program this fall and I'm attending orientation on Tuesday July 21 during the day -- I hope that was ok because that was what worked with my schedule. I also didn't know we had to take the TEAS so I'm trying to schedule that, too. I probably won't take it until the 20th or 21st of August. I would love to know about classes/registration/clinicals. I saw the book list -- that is going to be expensive!

Yeah, I'm pricing the books this morning. I think I'll start purchasing them as I want to get a head start on all of this fun!!!

Anyone notice that the required uniform is actually khaki scrub pants? Is this new because I remember all the previous students had white. I actually prefer white even though it's hard to keep clean among issues. The hunter green top remains, however.
