I grew up in Vermont, left for 14 years and now am back. Fletcher Allen Health Care starts new grads in the ballpark of $22.00 an hours. The schools in Vermont are #1, seasons are wonderful and it is extremely pet friendly. I have lived in many different places and Vermont is not anymore expensive than anywhere else. Burlington is a small and vibrant city situated on Lake Champlain. The university is next door and is a top notch research university. I think you would love it here.

Apartments allowing pets especially dogs could be difficult - at least in southern vermont.

Hi there! Would they hire fresh graduates from outside of the US? I am from the Philippines. I have yet to sit for my cgfns and nclex. I have already sent my application to the vermont state board of nursing for my nclex.

Having lived in SE Vt all my life, I find rents have become outrageous in comparison to wages especially if you are single and finding a rental allowing pets is challenging. This is common to the immediate tri-state region. Unless you you live in subsidized housing, it seems that rents are gauged for 2 incomes. I've found that wages are better by at least $4.00 an hour in neighboring NH and MA. Consequently, while I live in VT which I love, I work in NH.
