Roseman Univ at South Jordan, UT campus...

U.S.A. Utah

i'm curious to hear from roseman university of health sciences (formerly university of southern nevada) grads or students from the 18 month bsn at south jordan utah campus?

according to http://www.roseman.edu/node/98 the inaugural class for the sj campus was january 2010, so the first graduates would have been july 2011.

regarding the program itself: what was your experience with the program? did you find the quality of the program combined with the shortened length of time spent in school to be worth the cost? what was your experience with clinical and the block system, especially the requirement to pass every block with a ninety percent? did classmates struggle and drop out?

for grads, what was your nclex and job hunting experience? did employers recognize roseman, and did hiring managers seem interested in you? did you get hired; where and how quickly?

thanks to any students or grads who can respond in detail!:D

This link shows pass rates at 95% for the Henderson NV 18 month BSN.

i am in the last couple months of the program, i thought the program itself was easy but the administration is absolutely heartless and a nightmare to deal with. at times it felt like the administration (ie: dean/assistant dean and so on) were against you not with you in this program. there are some great professors then some not so great ones. we had a lot of people struggling but only about 5 got dropped. the 90% is intimidating but so doable. the shortened time length of the program i think is worth every penny just for this block system. i know of a couple people from the first class who had jobs pretty soon after graduation and the area is increasinly recognizing our school but mostly due to our new dental school since its the only one in utah and the pharmacy program since they have a longstanding history of a great passing rate on boards.

hi i am curious u said5 ppl got dropped, out of how many is that? roseman no longer allows group remediation point and im from the henderson campus 1st yr that they do it. more than half of our class (out of 66 about 44 ) hasto supper remediate...so those stats are pretty bad. Im trying to see if we dont pass if it makes sense to go to jhordan or wait the year to re-take block 5. my class, are kind of the lab rats of the program:(
