by utes nurse Dec 31, '08Just wondering if anyone has done any agency work in SLC? If so, are there agencies that I should watch out for? Are there agencies that I should look at? What type of pay rate should I expect for per diem work? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

- Jan 27, '09 by blueyezz71I have worked agency off and on here in the valley the last 10 years or so.
I would check out Medical Staffing Network(they are nationwide and have a good reputation) as well as a company called Vital Signs.
Not to sound negative but the agency industry here is not as good as it used to be. People are getting cancelled right and left. When I first moved here 10 years ago there were onlyl 2 or three main agencies to work for. Now there are more like 10. So now they are all fighting for shifts. The economy is not helping much either.
10 years ago I started at 27.00 an hour/ 32.00 now.
best.
