Re: Where to work?
A word of caution: while agencies are great places to work- and I hear Legacy is the best, they are not for new grads. You cannot have the experience you need to be a proper advocate and caregiver for your patients as a new grad. It's impossible. Agencies send you to several new facilities in a month and those places expect you to know what you are doing and are not willing to train you. You will be DNR (Do Not Rescend) before you know it. I recommend the University of Utah. They have great benefits, tons of areas to choose from, and a number of internships for new grads. Do that for a year, which is what most agencies want, and you will be grateful that you did. On the other hand, if you just want the money then go with an agency. You'll be frustrated and ready to leave nursing within 6 months, but at least they will be 6 well paid months.
