- Apr 23, '12 by anawAs far as I know, if you are partnered with Baylor, means that you are competing with ALL Baylor Health Care System employess.
- Apr 23, '12 by marie2119Waitlisted for the traidtional program in Fall 2012. Figured I should go ahead and join this one... I don't think I can handle possibly waiting all the way until August for them to tell me I didn't make it in. I am just praying they call me soon. I am meeting with my advsior a week from today and am going to have them explain to me FULLY how the whole ranking system works.

- Apr 24, '12 by nici0513For those of you that got waitlisted for the traditional on-campus BSN program: Do you mind posting your stats? I know it will be different each application period but I was just curious. I was thinking I had a real good chance but I calculated by GPA higher than it actually was due to UTA's program not utilizing all of my prereqs that I've taken. So now my over-all GPA when I apply for Spring will be 3.5 with a 4.0 in my sciences and 94% Hesi. When I talked to my advisor, she said that the cut off over-all GPA is generally around 3.5 due to the competition of all the other applicants. So, now I'm worried because I'm right there and will definitely be applying to other schools as back-up!
- Apr 24, '12 by MEGREEN94 hesi, 3.76 overall, 3.5 science. I am partnered with thr and next app period I will have over 30 hours at UTA. I am hoping that will help me off the waitlist!
- Apr 24, '12 by thomasphanQuote from nici0513I got wailisted for the Fall with 4.0/3.7 no considerations. I researched around and found out the cut-off GPA is usually 4.0/3.7, if u have considerations it can be lower... You need to have backup plan as I did!For those of you that got waitlisted for the traditional on-campus BSN program: Do you mind posting your stats? - Apr 24, '12 by nici0513Ok, now I'm depressed!! @thomasphan, I can't believe you got waitlisted with those stats!
@Megreen, at least you have some considerations, I have none! This whole process is so stressful, I want to be a nurse more than anything, I've been a medical assistant for 5 years and have worked below my capabilities. I finally decided to take a leap of faith and put my family through many sacrifices for me to be able to continue my education. I knew it wouldn't be an easy road to journey but I never imagined all the obstacles! All I can do is keep my faith that I will be led down the right path. :bowingpur (this is me praying, please let me get into UTA!) - Apr 25, '12 by kyllae11I was put on the waiting list for the fall with a 4.0/3.86 and no considerations. I wish our advisors would be a little more helpful in explaining exactly how the ranking process works.
- Apr 25, '12 by thomasphan@nici0513, UTA is not the only road to become a nurse
! I think should explore other universities or colleges too. I think your stat could help you to get into an ADN program easily.
