Congrats to all who got accepted!!!! I got waited list for AP but accepted to the traditional! GPA 4.0/3.78 No considerations.

I remember over a year ago reading everyone posting they got in for Spring 2012 and I was so envious and scared I would never know the feeling. My hard work and persistence definitely paid off, and it only took me 3x to get in (haha!) congrats to everyone who got accepted, and for those that didn't, keep trying!!! I'm proof it WILL happen at some point. My goal was to be done by the time my youngest is in Kindergarten, and she's almost 3 now so I will make it Love the support on these boards!!!

I was waitlisted for the 2nd time I am partnered with Parkland and have a 3.25/3.6 GPA....I am beyond frustrated right now.

Nikkib - When you weren't accepted the first two times, did you do anything to better your chances for the next application period....retake courses, etc.? Their application process is torture, not sure I can go through another round.

OMG!! I came on this site to check on any updates about letters and saw the acceptances. I just checked mine that was sent an hour ago with ACCEPTANCE to the AP program. I am overjoyed!!! Congrats to everyone who got it and hang in there for those who didnt. Dont lose faith!

@mphillips I know how frustrated you feel! The first time I applied I got denied completely. In the 4 sciences I had an A and 3 Bs (I took all of them 15 years ago and didn't study a whole lot back then) I realized that I needed to get a job at a hospital (which was a hard choice for me because I have stayed home with my kiddos since the beginning. But this is a wonderful message to send them so we were okay with it!) I got a PRN position so I don't work very much Second, I knew I had to retake 2 of those Bs. I chose to redo A&P 1 and Micro. My 3rd B was in Chem but I heard that was worse than Pharm so I decided I would stick with my B. I didn't have them finished by Jan 5 so they didn't count for Fall 2012 application. I was furious. So, I went into that app period with no change in my stats. My science was 3.25And my overall was 3.8. I was waitlisted but never got called off. I hope this helps a little. I decided that the only way to make sure I would get in someday was those redo's. A couple years ago everyone who was partnered basically got in the first time around but now since the hospitals are hosting smaller cohorts they have to waitlist more. There are always people that get accepted and then fail Pharm or Patho and don't get to start. You will see an influx of calls to waitlisters right after grades are posted in Dec Fingers crossed you get called!!!!
