Hello everyone! Just wanted to start this thread for anyone planning on attending UTA's nursing program in the Spring of 2013.....

I am working on the last of my pre-reqs right now at TCC, but I plan on attending UTA this fall to take Intro to Nursing, Patho, and Pharm... Anyone in the same boat???

I don't understand why they wouldn't WANT to give us a specific date that emails are going out! It seems like that would lighten their load and eliminate the hundreds of emails asking the same question every day! It just doesn't make any sense. Of course my THR rep won't respond to my emails now that she's been to "the meeting". Grrrrrrrr.....

Oh and the email address that the letters come from is [email protected] The subject line will likely read "College of Nursing Admission Decision". I think I remember someone asking earlier in the posts.Also, if you're waitlisted, make sure to print off the attached form and fax it to them ASAP. I was so livid when I got waitlisted last time that I didn't finish reading the email lol!

I agree completely!! They would have so many less emails if they just provided a date and stuck to it. Seems to make the most sense to me. My Parkland liaison told me that she would get in touch with UTA to see if she could find out how many people applied, but I haven't heard back....she mentioned nothing about the "meeting":no:. I REALLY HOPE that we get something tomorrow...we have waited long enough...

LOL! I also only read the first line telling me I was wait listed and pretty much stopped there....then I went back several times to the email - hoping it would change, of course it didn't :wacky:! I really hope there is better news this time...for all of us!

I'm glad I'm not the only one! :) And, yes, it just HAS to say "accepted" this time! I'm partnered, I retook 2 of my sciences that I made Bs in years ago, and I've taken every class possible up to this point. It is bittersweet to be in this situation...I've done all I can do, which is great, but I've also done. All. I. Can. Do. Scary that my fate is in some database just waiting to be released to us drooling psycho nursing hopefuls! Ha!

Hey guys...in response to a few of the questions to me posted earlier, no I was not partnered for Fall semester unfortunately. I got my GPA from MyMav under the Degree Progress/Graduation area. I hope that helps!! I tried asking my advisor what she showed my GPA to be and she said they weren't allowed to email GPA's and she gave me a link to calculate it myself. It kind of made me mad but oh well. Let me know if anyone else hears anything!!!!

Thanks rubyredd! I was just curious...I also looked at the Degree Progress Report on MyMav, but I was told that it may not be accurate. Although that may be for students like me that have MANY transfer credits.....

I am definitely holding out hope!! I would say it's mid-October and the big "meeting" has happened. I truly hope it happens TODAY:)

Yes yes yes!!!! I double-checked the times that my emails came through in April and the AP one came in at 5:25 and the on-campus came through at 5:40. So, starting at 5 today I'm going to be hitting refresh over and over :) For some reason my gut tells me it won't be today...probably because I've never had ANY correspondence with UTA happen in a timely manner. Then again, the Fall emails were rumored to not go out until May and we got them in April so who knows!!! Ahhhh, I'm becoming more insane by the minute! I also think if it were today the responses we all received would have been "by the end of this week or next" because they've done that in the past, instead of "by the end of October". Anyway, I am going to pick up my kiddos, go home, open a bottle of wine and try to chill! Cheers to everyone that we have something to celebrate tonight!

LOL!! I like how you think nikkib!!!:laugh: I also checked to see when my email came through for the Fall start and it was at 5:09p. I am still holding our that this is mid-October to UTA and I really hope they don't make us wait another week or two!!! This is consuming all of my thoughts, which is making me a little CRAZY:confused:.... I think they get some sort of pleasure out of having all the power, LOL! Even if they knew it was happening today, I don't think they would've told us, hence the standard "by the end of October" response. A glass of wine sounds fabulous - as soon as work is done, I'm right there with ya - Cheers to good news!!

My emails last semester came in twice a piece, but they were both denied. The first two arrived at around 4:30, the other two around 5:30
