Does anyone know when you should be hearing from UTA for the fast track Spring 2013 nursing program?

For spring 2012 letters didn't go out until right before Thanksgiving. It was agony! But now that they send them via email it is supposedly much quicker. I know for Fall 2012 letters used to not go out until June or July but it was way earlier this time so hopefully it will be that way from now on!

Hi Cupcakes321 - I was told that letters would go out in October. For fall we started finding out around April 20th (I was waitlisted), so maybe mid/end of October? I feel your pain, it is agony waiting!!

When I asked my advisor, she said around end of October :(

Application for UTA Spring 2013 , DENIEDHello everyone. I just basically would like you all to say a little prayer for me . Thoughyou don't know me sometimes prayer in multiples is better. I have sacrificed sooo much tomake a life for myself. My face is swollen from crying so much. I spent the last year and a halfbasically homeless, living with a friend, taking pre-reqs with NOTHING less than a B. I was prettyconfident about my application. My pre-req is around a 3.47 and I graduated with a 3.2. My grades are not as stellar as many of you but they aren't bad. My HESI scores were not so great I made 90's on everything except A&P and MATH! ugh! I froze and actually forgot how to do those simple problems in mathI focused more on other areas and made a 64 in math. Well after applying to UTA and submitting my app in early I received an email stating that my math score was low and my app was rejected. It is a HUGE blow as I need to be in a program in the spring. I was ONE point from making the required 65. I feel like my hard work was for nothing, I feel like everything that I've gone tbrough was in vain. I am numb trying to scramble and search the net for deadlines to other universities that I have not missed. Take my advice. If things are not going great for you, thank God that you have a stable roof over your head. For those of you who have acceptance, congrats. Please wish me luck as I continue this scary, tiring journey.

Please, don't give up! There our other schools out there besides UTA. Also there are other ways too for example getting a job at thr where they have a program they host at their facility. It might be an associate degree but I met alot of nurses that got a job once they graduated from the program. I too didn't do well on the math the first time around but I took again and scored much higher due to prayer and an hesi practice book. Please be encourage, if there is a will there is a way.

I agree with eldraper7 ! Please don't be discouraged. If you want it bad enough, it will happen! Always believe in yourself! There are many ADN programs where you can start off slower first :) UTA is crazy extremely competitive and I feel that I will be denied as well =/ But I am putting my hopes on another school if I don't get in this one :) GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS YOU!

Thank you sooo much to you all for ypur messages. I am going to keep going. I am in a tough situation but I have to remember that everything happens for a reason. Im definitely retaking the Hesi. Certainly I can do much better. I feel like the closer I get to achieving something, the harder I fall. Then again, this will be my testimony. Thank you ALL again. I'm still a bit taken back by what happened but I will keep prayer and faith

Hello! Does anyone knows what will happen when you applied and you were at a partner hospital, then now, you were laid off? How does that affect the selection process?

Hi Lee1920,

I believe you must still be employed by the partner hospital at the time of ranking, which is about a month or so after the actual application deadline. In fact, I believe it also states you must still be employed by them into the first semester of school if you get accepted. I would go to the Online BSN handbook and read to be sure.
