UTA Fall 2013

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

I thought I would start a thread for those applying to UTA for Fall 2013; AP or on-campus. I will be applying to both and am hoping to find a job at a partnered hospital before the January 5, 2012 deadline.

I was just thinking the same thing last night! I took the exam, and was so stressed out. Same thing, I have an A in the class, but I'm winding down. I study and take care of my toddlers. It's exhausting. But hey, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, right? It will be worth it in the end! I am worried about the final. I wonder if it will be 35 questions?

Btw, congrats! How far along are you? Boy or girl?

Baby #2, been trying for over 2 years, so even though baby will be born during 1st semester of nursing school, I am excited. 9 weeks. I got an 86 on the test but at the end I was so tired. Glad I'm not the only one feeling this way.

I was just playing around on the CON website and took a look at the calender. Apparently, an admittance decision may not be made until July. I don't think I can wait that long!! It is listed under AP BSN Program Start Dates:

UT Arlington | UTA | Online Degree Programs | Calendar | Undergrad

I wonder if that could be our deadline to accept. I know if you get accepted you have to turn in something that states you are going to attend. I can't imagine them making us wait until July.

OH, I didn't think about that. You're probably right.

So is everyone here applying ( applied) for Fall 2013? I am completing Prereqs and looking to apply for FAll 2014. Also.. Any tips on American Lit, history classes, and govt classes is appreciated. Still have these left :)

I applied for the Fall 2013 semester. I was waitlisted for the Spring so I reapplied.

I applied for Fall 2013. My first time applying. I took both History classes at UTA. They were not bad. Just busy work. Got an A in both, you'll do fine. (Oh, and every week they give you a ton of documents to read, videos to watch, etc. (I usually did not read most of the online documents; I just read the assigned readings from the books bc they bombard you reading material. But watch the videos bc often times, quiz/test questions come from them. Or at least they did when I took the classes.) Good luck!

So did any of you all take the online 8 week course for A&P I at UTA? I am utterly surprised at the amount of work involved - officially starting the class tomorrow but I spent last week trying to get ahead...I read chapters 1-3 and it pretty much took me about 4-5 days - those were some long chapters! Did you all read the material in the text book? Or, did you review the notes and watch the lectures only, or all the above? Just curious - because I can see that this class is going to be like a full time job and thankfully it is my only class for these next 8 weeks!

I am nervous about learning about the bones and muscles in such a short amount of time! I can see that quizzes and assignments are going to be easy but nervous about the exams because the professor even says they are really tough and CLOSED BOOK!

I took both A&P's online at UTA. They were a lot of work. I pretty much read everything, but focused more on her notes/powerpoints. I studied for hours every day. The quizzes and exams were kind of tricky, but the labs and lab practicals were easy. The final is cake...she reuses the exact same quiz questions.

Oh really, the quizzes are tricky too! I was planning to take my first 3 tomorrow, but maybe I should study more or maybe I will take one and see how it turns out and how to prepare for the others.

Do you know if we have the quizzes to print out afterward? I can see that I will need to study for hours everyday! Yikes!
