NURS 3645 Professional Nursing A & B

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Published

Hello to all who be starting the RN-BSN program at UTA on August 13!

Started this thread so we can help each other out as questions arise during the course.

I will be working full-time and have a 21 month old at home. He is very easy going :) Hubby is very loving and supportive as well. Good luck to everyone!! :nurse:

Rosemrn & ScarletFire,

Do not get too absorbed in this Info-Ret assignment. Make sure you look at week 7, you do not have to do a paper at all. Found this out the hard way, after completing the d%$n thing. They really take the points off on APA references. I will be glad when these next couple of weeks are over (took N3335 with Prof B) though I must say it is very doable (all A's so far) since you can work ahead. In Sept, I have N3425 which might be the hardest class so far.

My coach has answered one of my questions and ignored another. She is the least helpful coach that I've had in any of my classes at UTA so far. Maybe she's trying to toughen me up, who knows. I just try to do my best.

Thanks for the heads up. I just figured we would have to write a paper about it and do some crazy research at our jobs. That makes me feel better!

Thanks amyrnfa from me also!!!

Thanks, Amy. I didn't look that far (week 7), only to week 4, where you have to get into groups and critique your articles. Didn't seem that difficult, but one never knows. good to know about APA reference. What is N3335? I'm away from home visiting my dad and don't have all my stuff w/ me. I think you told me once before you were taking N3425 in Sept. More later.....

Has anyone taken Texas Politics yet? Just wondered how in the world you study for these tests?

ScarletFire,

My husband is taking Texas Politics now too. Yes, we are in this together but decided to take different courses (just to be fair). I will ask him how he is studying for the exam. He seems to be working on a power point right now. N3335 in Health Promotion, very simple and interesting.

Listen to those lectures: they often fill in a lot of the gaps in the notes. Also, be sure to read the textbook. Last, should also have review questions/quizzes that you can take for practice...TAKE THEM. They help reinforce the material.

I'm wondering the same thing, too!! There is so much lecture material and reading. I have tried one of the review quizzes (or whatever they are called) and the questions seemed really random and seem to cover material that I don't even remember reading. Makes me scared for the exam!

Hi Amy. Just got off a plane after flying home all day after visiting my Dad....pretty tired now, so won't be doing much class work tonight and have to work tomorrow AM. Yes, I know about the power point presentation for Texas which your husband is doing. It's not as scary as it seemed at first. But, there is yet another search for articles, which may take some time. Nice that you and he are doing this together.

Anyone received a grade for their Personal Nursing Philosophy Paper. I haven't yet and hope I am not the only one. Think I submitted it correctly!? Hope everyone is doing well. One week at a time!

Hey All! I am glad everyone is doing well, as for myself, I wasn't able to start as planned! I am set to begin 09/24. I want to take another class with B but still indecisive. It would be ideal to stay on track. Any advice is highly appreciated on what other class I could couple with the second part...

Happy studies :)
