N3325 Holistic Care of Older Adults

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Published

This thread is for all taking N3325 starting November 5th. If you have already completed this course, please feel free to leave a post with helpful comments and we will be sure to pay-it-forward!

Amy and Rosemary,

My AC just sent a message saying we are supposed to submit the life review paper directly on the assignment form rather than attaching a new Word doc. No title page necessary. Not sure if either of you are in my group, but I assume all are the same. I've already started it in Word, but I'll cut and paste in when time to submit.

hope all is well

Thanks ScarletFire,

Thanks for the information! I just checked and had a announcement from my AC saying the same thing. I appreciate it the heads up! I will glad when this is over as I am sure you will be glad when all 3 of your classes are over. What are you taking in January? Guess I will take assessment. Ugh!

rosemary,

i haven't decided for sure yet, but i'm leaning towards assessment in jan. there isn't anything offered except assessment, lifespan, leadership, and capstone, so we don't have much choice. we'll talk later about this.

i'm almost finished my life review paper. then, on to the next obstacle. next week will be a killer for me. i have 3 big tests in my other classes all due on top of everything else. plus, i just realized the deadline for holistic is saturday, rather than mon morning next time. :bluecry1:

thanks for all your help.

more later.

Turning in my paper today. Ready to get it out of the way. Forgot about this class ending early next week, I haven't even done the readings for this week. (I will think about that tomorrow) It seems I have been in British Literature for a half a year! Between the DB and papers for both classes, I feel a headache start when I login to Blackboard. Be so glad when Dec 14th comes around.

ScarletFire adn amyrnfa,

You girls keep up the good work. Turned in my life review paper today also. amyrnfa, not sure which lit

class I will take down the road. ScarletFire, what 3 classes are you taking right now.

Today I turned 50!! Can't believe it!! Still think of myself as 25. Oh well.

Congrats on your B-day!! Turned 40 last year, wasn't too bad. British Lit is a lot of work. Not sure if/how American would be different, but the professor/AC grades papers very lenient. I know Scarlet is taking Med Term, Fed Govt, & N3325. She must be young & NUTS!:woot:

No no no, I am not young, but I assumed you both were, though. I just turned 52 but UTA is making me feel like 5200. please remember what you learned in holistic and do not treat me w/o ageism;).

finished my life review paper and submitted it and the signed consent, too. almost forgot to check the rubric and glad I did because I would have missed an entire section. thus, it took me longer than i had anticipated. whatever. at least it's done.

just finished (yet another) US gov test. 14 tests is just a bit much, don't you think?

glad your brit lit is almost over for you. doesn't sound like leisurely reading like i though it would be.

got to get to bed. i'm working for the next 3 days in a row, so i will do my usual and do the reading for holistic after work.

later.

happy birthday, rosemary. hope you had a great day, although i guess it wasn't that great if you had to write a paper for holistic.

i'm 52, so don't feel bad. i know how time flies by.

Amy told you what i'm taking now. i only have US hist II left in addition to the other nursing classes.

bed time for me.

Hey, rosemary, listen to this: by the time you are 51, you'll have RN, BSN behind your name:)

You feel like your 5200. Sounds like delirium to me! Just joking. I feel better knowing I am not the only one who waited 20 years to finished school. OMG, I can't believe I have been a nurse that long!

By the way, there seems to be no leisurely reading in the UTA program.

Rosemrn, what other general courses are you needing? pm me if you need too.

Later...

amyrnfa, I need to take Hist I, Texas govt and a literature class. I could kick myself for not retaking History 30 years ago. Oh we'll! Glad to have you guys along with me! I am depressed now about getting older after taking this class. ScarletFire, hope your next 3 days are not bad. I am moving my mom to an assisted living nearer my sister. Fun Saturday activity . But I love her! Later

Taking Texas Govt with Stats in January. Not sure about nursing courses with those classes. Probably won't take one until March/April whenever the next one rolls arounds, just not January.

Sounds like a plan. I am really trying not to dread assessment in January. Like anything else, it will come and go!

PLEASE keep in touch!!!!!

Rosemary
