    Was anyone required to complete a math placement test before taking UTA's algebra course. My mav shows only my college math class transferring, I wonder if they'll require a placement test for algebra.

    In order to be accepted into college algebra, you must score at least a "12" on their Math Apptitude Test (MAT). Keep in mind that the final exam is given on the UTA campus and is proctored, so if you don't live nearby, you may have to arrange for a local proctor.

    Your best bet for this would be to consult with your academic advisor.
