How long to hear back?

How long did it take to get an admission letter? I just sent my information off to them along with getting my transcript requests in. I think I am going to send off another transcript request to another school that I went to since the previous one was sent over a month ago and they may have lost it. I'll fax a request tomorrow.

I just graduated but I should have my license by the Feb. 2014 start date. I also read on one of their policies that I have to have the license by the end of one of the classes or else it becomes an incomplete then a failure. I am fairly confident that I will have my license by the end of Feb.

Plus they have a discount on the Feb start date so I'd be willing to take the additional 1000 off. It's okay if I start later but that 1,000 off would be nice.

This gives me the ability to get 1 year experience as an RN in order to apply to the residency programs.

I was able to go from application submission to being able to register for classes in about 5 weeks. This includes getting transcripts in and evaluated as well. This was a couple years ago, so I am not sure about how long it takes currently.

I have several questions as well. Do you have to send in transcripts from ALL your schools or could it just be a single transcript from your last known school with all the other school grades on it (i.e. nursing school transcript)?

OP, you mentioned $1000 off? So the program becomes $7995? Do you have more info on this :p

As far as I know, you have to send a transcript from each school attended to get the transfer credit. That information should be on the FAQ on the admissions page.

The OP mentioned a $1000 off, is that part of the preceptorship program from UTA? Several of the RN's I work with are precepting UTA students and earn a discount for themselves or immediate family. Some are using it for RN-BSN and some for graduate work at UTA.

Actually, the 1000 dollars off appears if you work for a hospital that partners with them and is for Feb. only. I didn't read the fine details, just the little ad that pops up now and then.

It's annoying that nothing pops up under anything else I need to submit. I know I sent in an earlier transcript but it wasn't final so they should still need my final transcript if they didn't misplace it.

I've been waiting for two months. I was accepted by the college fairly quickly (within about 3 weeks) but am still waiting to be accepted into the nursing dept. They have reviewed my transcript and accepted all my credits. I got an email reminder to register for January classes but I'm not accepted yet. It's very frustrating! I check my school email every day. I've emailed the enrollment counselor who usually gets back pretty quickly to check on my status. In the meantime, I've applied to and they are super fast getting back to you. It looks like it will be cheaper for me too so I may go that route instead.

Ugh, I really want to go with UTA but it's posts like yours that really put me off, what with their long processing time. At the same time, there's and while accredited, I still have a problem with their courses counting as flat 3.0 GPA and supposedly lots of theory and writing. I hope I can find another alternative in TX.

Once you get in its much smoother sailing. UTA certainly has its issues with some courses, but I found that everything began to flow better once accepted. For me, being a brick-and-mortar school with regional and national accreditation was paramount.

I am just a little antsy. I am waiting on any hint that they have seen any of my transcripts. At least with Ohio University they sent me an email yesterday followed by another email saying they have received my transcripts from all of my universities.

They sent me an email December 4 saying my transfer evaluation was ready. However, the nursing department keeps telling me they don't have me in their system yet. It is taking forever to figure anything out.

Well, finally found out that the school failed to send one of my transcripts so I remedied that today. Hopefully the school mails it out Monday when school resumes.

I take my NCLEX the 25th so we'll see if I pass it. I'm 75% sure I will.

It felt like forever for them to accept me. I applied and waited for close to 2 months. I called a couple times to check, only to be told it was still processing. And this was mid-semester, mind you, when I submitted my application. I got accepted like the day before the registration deadline for the Intro Nurs class. I have heard from work colleagues that their office isn't the fastest in their processing.

What semester are you planning on applying for/or have you already applied?

I have applied for this coming Fall 2014 admission into the AP BSN online. I am an LVN.
