Health Promotion Across the Lifespan

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

Hey everyone! I wanted to start a thread to see who is enrolling in this course....

This class is super duper easy...and also very interesting. All of the assignments aren't based so much on research, but rather health promotion goals you set for yourself. There is a paper in week 4 (?) based on a book you have to read (skimming is fine too) but I actually found the book very interesting. This class was great!

I'm in the 9/23 start for this class too...as well as Leadership and Mgmt...

Specializes in Emergency/ICU.

Great class, so easily doable. A class where you can relax a little, and you might learn to take better care of yourself. I did. Enjoy!

thanks everyone

I am taking it with Health Assessment.

I'm ready!

I just watched Freedom Writers. It was good. I cried through most of it (I'm just a sap). And now I can say that I've been working ahead in the class!

I just finished printing off the syllabus, slides and weekly info. I hope to watch the movie tomorrow night. Have you decided on which book you are going to read?

I checked both out from my local library. I am going to skim them to see which looks best.

Im going to try to order mines from amazon, i think. I need to stay focused this week. Between two courses it is easy to get behind schedule.

Helpful hint: the books can be scanned for the report in week 4. I really only read maybe 30% of the book and that was more than adequate for what you need to write about. That being said, I thought the book was interesting enough to continue to finish it. I read Move Yourself.
