Easiest and Toughest Classes In UT Arlington RN-BSN Program

Nursing Students Texas (UTA)

I am looking to double up on nursing classes while in the RN-BSN program. I realize that it might be wiser to take certain classes alone and not double up. This thread is for everyone enrolled in the RN-BSN program to discuss which classes are the most/least difficult.

Hi,

it's now $25, not $15. :(

Ohh okay thanks for the info! I am an LVN who is about to finish the RN program and will be continuing on for RN to BSN in Feb. I guess it's worth a shot 25$ is still better than a few hundred for a class lol. Btw how much does a 3 hour credit class cost if y'all don't mind me asking?

Hi ktlam,

check w/ your advisor about what you can use to substitute for the upper div elective. I used a PCCN certification. Don't know about an LVN license. you have to send some documentation showing your certification to your advisor and a few weeks later, someone from records and admissions will contact you to tell you to send $25. BTW, for gen classes, it is $168 per credit, so that is $504 per 3-credit class; nursing classes are $257 per credit. come join us.

Great. Come back here when you start and I'm sure you will find others who are in your class or who already took the class who can help w/ questions and stuff.....

Thanks! You are awesome :)

ktlam,

there are some awesome nurses on this forum who have helped me a lot and for that, i am very grateful. even more amazing considering we are all total strangers and nobody gets anything for themselves when they do it. it's just kindness. :D very cool.

For the record.....I looked into the Texas Govt. class, thanks to the advice on here, and I do need it. It was just overlooked on my course map. Thanks goodness someone told me! I would have been very mad!

Does TNCC count as an elective, anyone know???

hi registered in 06,

i'm glad someone here helped you. I've received much more help here than I have from any of my AC's or even others in the class.

Yes, this forum is very helpful.

BTW, I was told today TNCC does count as an elective. Yay.

Specializes in ICU.

You don't say, this could save me a handful of dough, who did you talk to that verified TNCC counted as an elective?

My advisor looked into it. You should ask your advisor to do the same.

I'm going to use CCRN and TNCC to fulfill the upper division electives. The TNCC is pretty easy, if you are already a critical care nurse. Maybe 3 hours of study/review and then the exam. Much better than $500 for an 8 week session of medical terminology!! Plus it looks good on a resume.

Anyone have input on the CCRN, just curious how much study time to allow.
