Education and Health in UK context, Scotland in particular

Hello everyone,

I'm a student nurse. I have a presentation to do on the role of nurses in education. I'm new in Scotland, so not so much knowledge on the current roles of nurses in nursing schools and the system but I have read the Scottish framework for Nursing in School and a little onthe Acheson report 1998. However, I find it very useful and helpful to my learning if nurses out there would share your thoughts and experiences on the following areas:
  • perceptions of the effects of education on health.
  • initiatives in education that have been aimed at health
  • Do nurses have a role in general educations
  • recommendations to improve the links between education and health
Great thanks for your thoughts.
