To Ali-I sent ***** my Unofficial transcripts through email-(my transcipts and midwestern scoring and G.P.A was super confusing because I have multiple transcripts..

To PrettyLadie, Do you have any tips for the Spring 2010 class to prepare beforehand, and November? Oh also I live in Lawton Ok, so it's about a hour drive one way, what has the schedule been like so far? My assumption is it is 8-5 Mon, Tues, Wednesday, Thursday, with some clinicals thrown in, but not sure on that...also what is your recommendation for as part time work and going to Nursing School.

To Future Rn: Thanks for the heads up, nice to know, I'm not the only one in that range...I knew prior years they took the top 80 and cut-off is 56, but not sure how many are applying and what their ranges are...

Hey people!! I know the nerves are setting in.. as for waiting until november PRAY!!that's all I did everyday until I got my letter. Seriously. It takes the nerves away. As far as advice.. Part time work is definitely doable but if you don't have to work don't. 1st semester isn't terribly hard. Your schedule is like this monday 1 to 350 tues and thurs 1 to 220 and my clinical is on tuesdays from 10 to 12 and you have variations on that. And you have patho online. That's it so you see where you can work. Take pharmacology at a community college in the summer. 2 credit hour it will transfer in as pass fail. Get all of your books at half.com or anywhere else besides the bookstore. I reccommend buying a littmann stethoscope instead of the cheapy ones they provide in the assessment kit but some people can use those but for me the double tubing rubs together and there is a lot of excess noise that is not needed. I have a classic II se. I'm sorry I'm not being too specific because I really don't know what you all would like to know haha.I know future RN needs to return my texts because I'm over here dying with something I need to ask her hahaha!! The teachers are all pretty laid back. You only have two teachers the first semester.if at all possible study outside your home. I go to the library almost everyday if not everyday here lately I've been slacking due to some personal reasons.. But there is no distractions and when you don't have the option to do anything else it makes you focus!

To PrettyLadie,

I just wanted to confirm I understand schedule correctly (It seems super light) Is that schedule like that because it's the first semester, and will it get gradually more as the program progresses, or is it your understanding that all semesters will be like that?? Also how tough are the classes?? Do you have to put alot of study time in, and are the tests pretty difficult, thanks Angela

Pretty much all of your semesters are like that since there are 5 semesters which puts you at 2.5 years instead of the 2 normal years. 2nd semester you only have 2 classes.. And one if you take my advice and take pharm somewhere else and you should. As for tests.. Intro is super easy. I never study except the night before the test and not a lot and the day of. I made an 84 with no reading. Intro don't sweat it. She gives you a review that is the test.. And she has an optional review and you do callborative testing after each test so that means once you take the test individually you take it again in groups and you get extra points added to your test grade depending on how your group does. And again I only study the night before and the day of the test. As for health assessment.. That's all I study each and every day. Read read read for that class. Its not too difficult just a lot of reading. Any other questions feel free to ask. I'm headed to take a nap before health assessment right now lol. Good luck

Yes they are available but only to lighten your courseload not to advance so you will have to be here for the whole 2.5
