Would you consider driving to Anchorage?

3,750 miles, 67 total driving hours, probably will take a week of 10 hr driving days. Arrive in October, depart in January, or possibly renew and depart in April.

I have driven from Miami, FL to Santa Barbara CA......twice now!! I am not old enough to rent a car. It can be done. Spread it out over several days if possible. Good luck!

Sounds like it would be an awesome roadtrip!! Driving to Alaska!?! I imagine beautiful scenery, lots of stops to take pics, and great memories. I'd leave plenty of time to do, but I love driving long distances so I'd be all over that!

Hi Christy, looks like I wont get the chance, appears someone else got the contract to start in Oct. It would've been my first assignment. I see you specialize in Indian Health Services, Mental Health Specialty by chance?

I'm full time staff with IHS working med/surg. I like to browse the travel forum just to see how things are going. I want to start traveling next year. Bummer you didn't get that assignment. I think it would have been awesome. The just cancelled some travel contracts here but I think they are going to need some back after the new year.

I drove from Boston, MA to Anchorage AK in 1976. It was a spectacular drive, we stopped for a few days in Kenosha, Ontario for repairs to our van, if you subtract that, it was 10 days of driving 18 hours or so. We had a 1964 Ford Econoline van, and the ALCAN highway did a number on it, but I would do the trip again in a heartbeat. The people, the scenary, all of it was spectacular.
