Working per-diem while doing travel nursing

by hips12

Hi guys,

I've been a traveler for almost a year now and enjoying myself (so far). I have a question that I asked several travelers but can seems to get a straight answer. I'm in houston, tx on an assignment and want to work per-diem. Do you think its wise if I do per-diem with my company? They have a travel dept and per-diem department also. I dont know if it would be a breech in contraction or not. They company actually is allaboutstaffing. You will be mostly likely find something with them since they are part of HCA but I really don't know... This is my 1st assignment with them. I'm also asking the local if they know really good agencies.

Some companies actually have it written in contract that you cannot work per diem with another agency while on a travel contract - you would have to check their rules/contract.

That does not mean that it doesn't go on, but you do need to check out the fine print.
