Where do I register car?

I will be traveling, but don't currently own a home. Where am I supposed to register my car? Most likely I won't remain a traveler in one state, therefore my address will change often.

ANyone know?

Thanks in advance!

Joe

Default Re: Where do I register car?
You need to pick a state to "call your home". Some use South Dakota, Texas or Florida as there is no state income tax there. Talk to your tax professional to see if they have any suggestions. There are tax advantages to owing a home while on travel assignments but there are rules. Some full time RVer's use mail forwarding services so they have only one "home address" for bills and such.

Hope that helped
