What it takes to be a traveler ?

Hey guys, Merritt here. I'm a 25 y/o nurse who's taken only a small handful of travel assignments. Been a nurse for 2 1/2 years and though my intentions were to get my CCRN by now, it just hasn't worked out for me due to various distractions with my family, etc. Basically, I have been working at home since February and I desperately want to branch back out and take a travel assignment somewhere really nice in January. I put my profile out there to the hospitals about 5 weeks ago, with no bites yet. My question is, do I really need CCRN or at least CATN, or TNCC to get a great job at a Level 1 trauma center as an ICU nurse. This is what I really want seeing as how CRNA school is in my future, hopefully. I feel like such a slacker b/c besides the required ACLS, I don't have any real certifications despite going to AACN's NTI one year. Any advice ya'll have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Merritt

If you want to work ICU at a level I trauma center, TNCC will make you more marketable.
