Traveling L&D nurses from Iowa?

I am from Iowa, and by the end of this year, beginning of next year I am going to be traveling. I have never traveled yet.....but I have made up my mind that I am going to do this...I am having alot of questions myself...... so if you get some answers, please let me know.

I really like working in psych.....I just need to get out of Iowa for a while. The traveling agency that I am looking at deals with Cali, Florida and Texas, and I really want to go to Texas right now, or in January when they have some start dates....hopefully. I am getting my app squared away right now, and trying to get all of my stuff together. I won't have to worry about my house (my mom will be staying at my house d/t the divorce). As for the rest....I really don't care...I just need to get out for a while. I like the fact that I can go to a place, they give me a little orientation, a day or two or a week, and I jump right in. (That's kinda what I do right now.) I have no major responsibilities, just a cat, and she can go with me. I just want to see the world.....or somewhere besides southcentral Iowa. (Can you tell that I feel a little trapped?)
