Traveler TO F-T to Switch Speciality TO Traveler

  1. 0 I have been traveling for the past two years and, by and large, I really enjoy it. However, I have been working in med/surg and I see that those opportunities are drying up. I have always had an interest in the ER and I'm considering (in the next year) switching to a full-time position in an ER for a year and then returning to travel in that specialty. Has anyone ever done that? Any thoughts? I recognize that one year isn't a lot of time, BUT I also recognize that it's not rocket science. Thanks!
