Travel to California OR help start travel company???

I have been working Per Diem for a travel company locally, the pay is good but the family wants to get away for awhile. Do I go to California with the wife and kids for a short term assignment of 4 weeks OR Do I go more locally to help establish a travel company with the added benefits of possible profit sharing OR do I keep doing what I do???? I have been wrestling with this for awhile but can't come up with the best option. I will be traveling with ACCESS nurses to California, I think this will be a great experience for my kids but I could also be creating a company. So please any and all comments help, let me know what you think???

Wrestling with it for how long? Long enough to get away for 4 weeks and come back?

Doing what you are doing isn't going to go anywhere while you take a break for your family.

Similarly, any company that springs up overnight -- is it going to last for more than overnight? Not knowing the story there, of course, no one can judge but you.

Above all else you need to be able to listen to your instinct. You can laugh all you want, but it wouldn't hurt to try: Sit still, calm yourself, and ask about each option and literally listen to your gut. Right around your solar plexus there -- listen to the response it gives you. Don't question those feelings.

Above all else always, always, always trust your instincts.

One thing to be very aware of, with a four week contract, you are going to be in a hotel room with everyone. Not sure how old that your kids are or if you are used to being in the same room with them 24/7 except when you are at work. It will be like living in a studio apt with a family.

I figured a hotel room would be in order, I only hope that it will be an extended stay type but I will deal with that. It's either a great vacation or a nightmare we can talk about for years to come.......
