Travel between Alaska and Hawaii?

I just got a really good idea this morning: has anyone heard of someone spending summers in Alaska, then traveling to Hawaii for the winter? This seems like it could be an awesome setup for a few years...!

Default Great PLan
Sounds pretty much like my own personal plan....

I hate snow but my wife hates severe heat, so southern states in winter and northern states in the summer...that's the plan...hopefully it will work for the both of us!!!

You sound like someone I need to talk to...I'm still a student (graduate BSN Dec 05 - fingers crossed). But once I graduate would love to do some island hopping.

I lived in St. Croix in 92 for a couple of years...hubby worked for Hess there. We loved the island and the water. When I was there the hospital was still in the module buildings...since then heard they rebuilt the old hospital. I know it was pretty bad back then...hubby had to go there for a diving accident. What was scary was I knew more about the bends then the dr there and I had no medical knowledge back then. lol My friend was a nurse there and she said there was always a shortage of supplies.

Now my dream is to move to Hawaii..figure I'll probably have to go in as a travel nurse and then work on trying to become permanent there.

Any pointers/tips from your knowledge of traveling in Hawaii, etc?

Debbie
