Are there any travel companies that are flexible re: your last hospital stint?

The last time I worked in a hospital was 2002.

Are there any travel companies that would use me?

I think most hospitals require that the travellers have recent hospital experience, but it would certainly not hurt to inquire with a few companies.

I agree with Dixielee. Most travel companies require six months minimum - preferably one year acute care experience before they will let you travel with their company. I've done travel nursing off and on throughout my many years in nursing, and enjoy it more than being staff. Get your experience in, then travel because there's rarely an orientation provided for travelers other than orienting to the unit, the hospital policies, and the equipment. Mostly, you just show up on the unit that agreed to allow you to contract at their hospital, and get to work. How strong are you? Do you get homesick easy? Would you travel alone or with a family member or friend? All of this makes a big difference when considering travel nursing. Check into the various companies by searching the web. Best of luck to you!
