Temporary health insurance advice needed!

I am going back into travel nursing in order to find out if I will like a particular town as much as my research tells me I will. I hope I'll want to stay and buy a house there. So, I took an assignment with Unnamed Company. They seem to do things differently, in order to give the nurse the best wage possible. Basically, I have to find my own apartment, furnish it, and find my own health insurance unless I want to pay $190/mo for theirs. They don't pay for licensure, moving costs, nothing. There really don't seem to be any perks except for the wage of $40/hr. Remember, I really wanted to go this this particular town and the other 2 companies I applied to didn't come through. This company did. So, I would like to know what you think. Am I getting screwed or does it all add up when you take away the benefits and just raise the wage? Also, does anyone recommend temporary health insurance that I could trust, or is $190/ mo reasonable for a 36 yo? I'm leaving my present job in two days and start my new job June 27. I need advice. Please help.
