Tax Credit for Health Insurance?
- 0Feb 24 by Janey496As a travel nurse, a lot of your paycheck often comes as tax-free stipends. Since this money isn't "reportable income", does it count towards the income requirement to qulaify for a tax credit under the ACA? I am trying to figure out if I might qualify for a credit in buying my own health insurance.

As long as you maintain a legitimate tax home and follow the associated rules. So they do not flow through to your W-2 or your 1040, nor will the ACA consider them in any way.
