you will love it here in SB!!! working at cottage right now (this is my 2nd assignment, extended after the first 13wks). the hosp is good to their travelers (there are a ton of travelers here). the location is beautiful. as for "nice housing"... most of the housing here is older. the apartment complexes are not the nice upscale places you find in SD or other larger cities. my roommate and i are only 24 and have been out of college working for just 2 years...so we dont mind the mediocre housing. were just happy to be in a beautiful place. were living in buena vista apartments. many travelers are housed here. what company are you with? i know AMN, med express, and cross country all house some of their travelers here.

Hello:

I just wanted to see if I might could get a little more info on Santa Barbara. I have never been to CA so don't know a lot about the area. About how big is it? How many hospitals are there and is the pay good? I currently have about 5 weeks left on my assignment in NM, which has got to be the worst hospital I have ever worked at. No one knows what is going on and there are a decent amount of core starf. I was think CO but the pay just isn't there. Any suggestions or information would be appreciated.
