Prophecy Testing

I wasn't sure where to post this but here it goes. I have been a nurse for only 4 years and have had the opportunity recently to start traveling. I have already completed one assignment for 13 weeks. I had to take the PBDS test and I was very nervous about it because I heard so many negative opinions on it. It definitely wasn't a fun test, but I did pass it and am very proud of myself.

After my first assignment ended, I decided to just go back to working full time. I have had a really difficult time finding work. I keep calling the nurse recruiter at the hospital and she has not given me any information about if I have gotten the job or not.

I have been working with a local agency to find jobs here and there. So far I have been cancelled 5/9 times. I don't get very many options of where to go because I have only worked med-surg. So I decided that I would give traveling a chance again.

I don't mind taking tests, but I have taken so many it's ridiculous already. So I am asking if there is anyone out there that have taken the Prophecy Exam. I would like to know the test format if possible and any other information about this test. I don't like to take a test without knowing what it's about, and I need to pass it so I can work.

Recently had to take Prophecy test for travel assignment. No big deal, just pressure to score a passing grade. Very similar to the tests taken in school and definitely easier than the state board exam. Each test is targeted to a specific area of expertise, mine was med/surg. Be sure to ask the agency for a study outline, those are helpful, but don't stress too much, any experienced nurse should be able to pass without too much studying! Hope this helps.

Try being an OB nurse and having to take Prophecy tests are are Clearly made for Med Surg units. Ugh.

I just took the CCU prophecy exam and I have never worked in a CCU before. My specialty is MSICU, but my first travel assignment will be in a CCU. The exam was tough! I studied before I took it and then I had to retake the exam to make above the required 80% passing score (recommedned passing score is 71% by prophecy but my travel company requires a 80%). I also had to take 5 other ones that included pharm and ekg. I had to repeat the pharm one also, but it was no where near as tough as the CCU exam. They allow 2 re-take's if you do not pass the first time.

The NCLEX is easy compared to many of the agency testing. I say this because I use to write NCLEX questions. I provided rationales also. The key to NCLEX is to master being able to break down the question with analytical skills that not just anyone has but can be taught. Pick out the key word then answer the question. Agency test questions are generic. They do not provide one with enough information.

Which test is that?

So, fyi, the exam consists only of 30 pharmacology questions, and gives you only 30 minutes to complete it, and you must have a passing grade of 73%, good luck!

Perhaps pharmacology? But it is almost irrelevant as Prophecy could have 100 different such pharmacology tests customized for their many clients or in many cases, written by their clients and simply hosted by Prophecy.

I need help with Prophecy Medsurg V2, since i didnt pass the 1st one, can anyone help? Thanks

Edit: Nevermind, I don't know how I commented in an entirely different thread...disregard and carry on.

Can anyone please help me with the RN pharmacology A prophecy test

First time traveler? I wouldn't sweat it. I'm OR (most med questions are irrelevant) and have not flunked a pharm test yet (including at least two by Prophecy). Other than ACLS drugs I've not studied pharm for 25 years. You should pass. Open another browser window should a question stump you.

what is meant by 3.1 score in medical surgical prophec testing? i want to know if this score is a pass one?

i have problem on internet so i took the exam in long hours since the time is unlimited
