    I start per diem nursing this weekend. I am very confident in the nursing part, but I am nervous about learning the hospital systems- charting, where to find medications or supply room, etc. How do you learn all of this without a day of orientation? Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    You don't! You will become more efficient with more shifts worked. (Also with more hospitals worked). In the meantime, just ask your peers.

    Most likely, the staff will be so nice to you because they are soo happy that you came in to help alleviate a burden off of them. Just ask questions about things you aren't positive about. You should receive a unit tour on your first day.
