PBDS test requirement


Taking a job in Reno and required to take PBDS test at orientation,,,,am told if I don't pass I won't get the position.....I am confident in my skills but am freaked out about this test. Any suggestions about how to prepare??....practice test??

There is a thread on PBDS look it up on this board, Took the test in NC, different, not hard, it can confuse you because it has specific requirements. They show you a video of a patient situation.... usually chf, mi, gi bleed, abdominal sepsis from a knife. You must produce a list of what you would expect to do. Medical diagnosis first. Then, in order of what needs to be done first, Call the doctor!!! (Like he would not already be there.) VS are usually included in the video. Vitals help you identify the problem, ect.... high bp=CHF, low bp=gi bleed and sepsis. Fast hr=gi bleed or low fluid volume. High temp=sepsis, you have to write down what you would expect to see. They usually have a time limit, 5-10 minutes. Good luck.
