New Traveler to Colorado?

by elmay

I am moving to colorado april 2007 for a year (my husband is in the military). I have been a med/surg nurse for over a year and would like to travel within the state while i'm there. I am really nervous about doing this but excited at the same time. I'm looking for different experiences and to learn new skills. Any advice on the best hospitals to work? please share your experiences with me. thanks

I just finished traveling (for five years) in the state of Colorado. Where are you going to be stationed? Colorado Springs? I traveled up and down the I-25 corridor.

Thanks for the reply. My husband will be in Iraq so I'm moving to Westminster, CO near his family. I am looking for hospitals in the north denver or denver metro area. I am planning on sticking with med/surg, pref ortho/neuro (that's where i worked most at my last job). I'd like to work for a hospital that is familiar with travellers...I would hate to have an unwelcoming experience on my first assignment. any ideas or advice?
