Low Paying vs High Paying Companies ???

by JoAnna McNurse Premium Member

So many of the messages refer to "ABC Company" being a "low paying" company ... or that they are not as high paying as "some companies."
I was wondering:

What companies are considered by most nurses to be the HIGH paying?

What companies are considered by most nurses to be the LOW paying?

Thanks

I don't really like to label the company as high or low paying. Sometimes a larger company gets labeled as paying generally lower wages, but I think it depends more on the facilities unique situation. If they are hurting for nurses they are willing to pay more to the staffing company and in turn you are paid more.

Also, sometimes companies try to hide their pay rates by adding in housing or overtime to your hourly rate. It's best to compare apples to apples. If multiple companies have the same position you can bet that they all have about the same bill rates. Everything is negotiable in your pay package.
