Licensure questions

IN a recent discussion with my recruiter, she stated that I was "one of those people who need to plan, aren't spur-of-the-moment-" when it comes to assigments.

I don't understand how you can be spur-of-the moment when it comes to taking assignments. I have a Pennsylvania and a New York license and it takes FOREVER (not to mention alot of money) to get all the paper work together to get licensed in another state.

Am I missing something? Should this be easier?

Default Re: Licensure questions
First off, unless you are doing rapid response or taking an assignment a fast start, you do have time to plan. First off, do you have a compact license? If you do that makes it a little easier, if you are going to another compact state. Some states are walk through, which mean you go to the board of nursing in that state, apply and walk out with your license. Other states like, Ohio, can take more time. Your recruiter should be telling you this, or at least directing you where you need to go.
If your recruiter isn't helping you, change companies. It's your career.
