Introductions

Hey there fellow travelers. I am curious to see who else is out there traveling for a living!!
My name is Sarah, I am on my first assignment in NC, just got divorced. I started traveling to change my life and see what else I could get out of it!
Just wondering who else is out there, where you have traveled to, why you travel, whatever else you want to share!

Hi Sarah!

I'm Cathy I've been traveling for over 2 years now and I love it. I too am recently divorced.

I've been to MD, WI, MO, MN, KS, MO (again), and now back in WI.

I bought an RV in January and now I full time in it. Believe me, if you're thinking about doing this for a while the RV thing is the way to go.

Have fun this weekend!

Nice to meet you Cathy!!! How much did the RV cost, if you don't mind my asking??
Also, do you think and RV would be safe for a single woman?

Mine was brand new and 58/k with the financing. You can buy used ones for a lot less but I really didn't want to. Personal taste. If you use the same care that any sensible single woman would use in a strange city you're fine in RV parks. My neighbors are in their late 60's right now and they're great.

The housing allowance more than pays for the RV and the lot rental each month so I come out a little ahead. AND I can do what I want, when I want. That's a biggie for me.

I have been traveling for about a year and a half. Haven't left Calif yet. I am trying to stay close to my grandkids until they are old enough to visit me. I hope to go all over. I like the fact you only have 13 weeks if you hate the place. I hate all the test I have to do at each place. The paperwork is overwhelming at times. I have met alot of nice people and some I was happy to never have to see again. ;0

Hey, I'm Donna and I have traveled for a year and a few months. I am from NC and have traveled to Maryland and South Carolina. I am going through a separation and just needed a change. I was also burned out at the local hospital. I like the area where I am currently, but the work is the hardest I have ever had to do. I'm not sure if I'll reassign or not. I am 44 and have been a nurse for 16 years. I have certainly seen a lot of changes in the profession.
