    Hi all

    I would like to start traveling in NY.. I am currently talking to crosscountry and they offer an assigment with a nurse pateint ratio of 10 a night... I feel that is a little bit too much?? how is the patient ratio in ny? also anyone know of any good recruiter in crosscountry??

    any info greatly appreciated!!

    Not a travel nurse, but have worked as an ER nurse for over 10 years in NY. Sadly, that is around average for a nurse to patient ratio. I believe most med/surg floors average about 8:1 and units are no more than 3:1 if that depending on the acuity, and the hospital too that is.
