Husband of travel RN with a few questions

My wife is a travel nurse working in florida, and we travel together because I never really had any type of career to keep me grounded. We have a tax home in our home state (Maine). When I apply for jobs here, does it matter what address I put on my application? I dont want to have to work through a temp agency, but nobody will hire me knowing that I will only work for 12 weeks. Also, if I do get hired, how do taxes get taken out of my pay? Do they get taken out for Florida even though I have a tax home elsewhere? Are there certain jobs that are more suited for travelers? There must be husbands or wives of travelers who have experienced this uncertainty.

Taxes get taken out for Florida only for federal, etc, as they do not have state income tax. Taxes are taken out for work done where you are, not for where your tax home is. You normally only pay taxes in your home state, if they are earned there within their borders. When you file your taxes, you will need to include a form for each state that you worked in.
