How specific does contract need to be?

  1. I just received my written contract to sign. It mentions the total number of hours I need to work in the 13 week period. What if I get on call or low census? Do these hours count toward the total hours? Do I need to have this spelled out in the contract? I don't want to lose my housing or travel allowance because I was put on low census one shift. I'm just not sure how specific these contracts need to be. This one seems pretty generalized. Thanks.
