How to plan for my future carrier as Travel Nurse?

Hi, I have some working experience and nursing degree outside of US. I’m going to sit for NCLEX in 2 months. In the future I plan to work as Travel Nurse. I just wondered, in what unit is better to get experience for my future carrier? Is it worth to do upgrade my degree from ASS to Bachelor(US college) in nursing? Since I have nursing degree from outside of US and it would be more difficult for me to do endorsement in different states.
